What Is a Boost IV Drip?

A Boost IV is an intravenous (IV) drip that delivers fluids together with a blend of vitamins and minerals directly into a vein. [Client to confirm the formulation.] An IV drip takes longer than an intramuscular (IM) shot, such as our glutathione injection, which is a single injection into the muscle.

At RMT Movement in Brampton, every Boost IV is personalized based on your health history and wellness goals. A consultation with our Registered Nurse helps determine whether it is a suitable option, and your nurse will explain the process, what to expect, possible side effects, and aftercare before your appointment. Research into IV vitamin and mineral supplementation in healthy adults is ongoing, and individual experiences vary.

Nurse-Led

Each Boost IV drip is given by our Registered Nurse after a consultation and assessment, with a focus on your wellness goals, safety, and comfort.

Who May Consider a Boost IV Drip?

A Boost IV is a wellness option some adults explore when they are:

  • Curious whether IV vitamin and hydration support fits their wellness plan

  • Interested in hydration support as part of a wellness routine, for example after travel or a busy period

  • Looking for a general vitamin top-up to discuss with a nurse

  • Working with their healthcare provider on an overall wellness plan

A Boost IV may complement sleep, nutrition, movement, and stress management, but it is not a replacement for them. A consultation with our Registered Nurse will help you decide whether it is appropriate for you.

Individual experiences vary, and results are not guaranteed. Boost IV drips are not intended to diagnose, treat, or cure any medical condition.

Preparing for Your Visit and Aftercare

Before Your Visit

  • Eat normally and drink water as usual.

  • Bring a list of your current medications, supplements, and allergies.

  • Wear a top with sleeves that roll up easily (your nurse will confirm the IV site)

After Your Visit

  • You may notice mild soreness or bruising where the IV was placed.

  • Contact the clinic or your healthcare provider if redness, swelling, or pain at the site increases, or if you feel unwell.

Possible Side Effects

Some people notice temporary soreness, redness, swelling, or bruising where the IV was placed. Allergic reactions are uncommon but possible. Tell your nurse about any allergies before your drip, and seek urgent care if you develop a rash, swelling, or trouble breathing.
